Faces
As I sat in front of the computer staring out of the dining room window Ace and Champ were digging a hole to China in the front yard. Seems beagles like to dig. That's ok. A few holes in the yard is a small price to pay for their oh-so-sweet companionship--until next time--Sharon
Glass
I have been making these Picasso inspired glass image pebbles to mosaic on a larger project that I am working on for a publication...I am always inspired by Inspire Me Thursday!---until next time Sharon---
My favorite shape--no matter the season!
Chris and I have been pretty busy working in the store and teaching workshops every weekend--a good thing!--until next time--Sharon
AlteREDolOgY Workshop
Another week flew by but I did squeeze in some early morning time to work on my workshop samples for the store...until next time---Sharon---
It is Sunday eve and I have not made any progress on my AlteRED-OloGy Workshop sample for the store---I have lots of ideas swirling about but I confess that today I was totally sidetracked by the beauty of the day. I found myself in the yard just gazing around at the trees-leaves-branches-bugs-everything. Chris and I have been going like race horses for quite a while and it felt great to kick back and enjoy the autumn beauty. Tomorrow is another day. Until next time---Sharon---
---Workshop in the Making---
I am spending my Sunday working in my studio on some projects for a workshop at the store--AlteRED-OlogY--I have been working with copper, vinegar, liver of sulphur, and just about anything else that alters the appearance of copper. The speckles and spots of the copper makes for really interesting embellishments--also have been painting since my Inspired Sunday of last week--not sure where this project is headed but will keep you posted with the finished art. Until next time--Sharon
p.s. Chris and I made a little video to keep you up to date at the store!
I spent the wee hours this morning papering and painting this canvas. Donna has been doing a painting a day and raving about the new book Journal Revolution ....she is so right! I have had this stack of small canvases on my work table for more than a month-maybe 2 months-my studio is a wreck and most of the time has be picked up. straightened up. swept up. before anything new can happen...BUT this morning I marched in there like I owned the place...pushed everything aside and started painting...I gotta tell you it really felt great to forget about the broom. windex. paper towels. and just paint...Thanks Girls!
Yesterday was one of those lazy days at home--most of the day was spent flitting from one project to another--cooked a little dinner--helped daughter Sheila update her blog--and set up her etsy shop--poked around in my studio gathering up inspiration to share at the store--when I discovered these--
photos from our road trip out west last year--we traveled about 3500 miles with our 2 sweeter than sweet beagles and loved every minute of it--looks like a scrapbook or a shadow box is in my future--spent the rest of the day looking and remembering--until next time--Sharon
